About
Dr. Omar K. Siddiqi is a general cardiologist at Boston Medical Center and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. His clinical focus lies in preventive cardiology and risk factor modification, especially in underserved populations.
Dr. Siddiqi received his medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, followed by residency and fellowship training at Boston Medical Center. With over a decade of experience, he integrates evidence-based medicine, compassion, and community-oriented care into his practice.
He is also deeply involved in medical education, curriculum design, and leadership development.
Medical Educator & Mentor
As a passionate educator, Dr. Siddiqi mentors medical students, residents, and cardiology fellows. He serves as Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Global Health Pathway at Boston University, focusing on global and community health education.
He was named Educator of the Year by the BU Department of Medicine in 2022—recognition of his innovative teaching, inclusive mentorship, and leadership in academic medicine.
He also plays a key role in initiatives promoting diversity and inclusion in healthcare.
